By the way, not to stoke the fire of the "specializing" argument, but along with dominating the region as a high school golfer, Opp started in hoops and also was one of the best middle infielders ever to come out of the region.
The Brian Tisbert-Oppenheim double-play tandem was the best this region has ever seen, and Opp hit like .480 as I want to say a two-time Eagle-Tribune All-Star, but it might just be once.
