Aftermath of a crazy Saturday …
Not sure if you are aware, but we won yesterday 6-1. Just an FYI.
Brent Demas
I just want to comment quickly on how proud we all are of the showing Timberlane athletes put on for all of us this year.
The fall began with our football and field hockey teams both making some noise and extending their seasons into the playoffs.
The winter session proved out to be a very good one as well. Wrestling took home a State and New England championship and our hockey team lost only on division game all year and brought home a state championship team as well..
As we moved to the spring we had several great showings by some individuals on our track teams. Our baseball team not only made it to the playoffs, but proved they were contenders. Both boy's and girl's lacrosse were in the playoffs as well.
Thanks to all the players and coaches of all the sports listed and not listed. You finished your year with success, and most important, a lot of class.
You know that I am pretty laid back about things, but enough is enough. We lost today 2-1 in the semi's and your paper did have a reporter there, the second game your paper was represented this year. I find it insulting that you claim to cover our area and only come to two games the whole season. While it only takes about 10 minutes of my time to call scores into you I guess I am finding it difficult to make any effort in regards to your paper. We had one of the top teams in this region- and beat a team you have been touting this whole year- and we recieved very little coverage. You can email me or call me with your reply if you choose, but unless you can convince me that your paper actually cares about NH baseball- and please don't trivialize our regular season again- I can't see any good reason to continue to work with your paper. Even the argument that it is "for the kids" doesn't apply as we recieved so little coverage. Not just us, but NH baseball in general.
I really hope I am wrong, really you are good guys- but I just can't stomache the disrespect anymore.
Best regards
Brent Demas- Londonderry
I can't be everywhere at one time.
We staffed your game with the very able Chris Helms. His two stories are on today's Eagle-Tribune. Just read them both and they are very well done. I think your comments might be a little misdirected.
Which other daily newspaper out there has been to three of your game, written a couple of features on your athletes and regularly run your statistical leaders along with 20 other area teams?
Sorry I couldn't be there man, but the newspaper was,
because we care about you guys.
