I cannot believe there is one coach in the area that would play a senior if there was a "better" (key word better) player on the bench.

Re: Longo’s weekly football picks.

To: Central Fan- Not an uncommon state of affairs. Recently the Concord, NH coach complained his team was not as competitive in the second half of games because he has "35 players watching and 11 kids going both ways". Hmmm...I wonder if the coach took note when he read his own words. Seniors deserve their playing time but I agree that jr's and sophs would develop faster if they saw some action before they are counted on to be difference makers. Plus, teams would find their starters have more in the tank at the end of the game if coaches provided for more players to contribute.

Re: Longo’s weekly football picks.

A wealth of talent stays buried on the bench simply due to their underclassman status at CCHS. Time to start infusing youth into the mix. I may be wrong, but several playmakers, only watch on Friday's, could help the team take their game to the next level, and prepare for a resurgence in 09. Have to believe, this current team of mostly seniors, picked to challenge for the MVC title, disappointed due to lack of experience and playing time as Juniors.
